Part-archiver and part-performer, Ambedo Field translates the collective energy of raves into an archival site of mechanical performance.

The archiver travels to different events, creating a record of collective energy composed of immaterial heat, sweat and environmental phenomena. Elements of energy are logged through air sensors that measure temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide, and ethanol. The record is subsequently uploaded to the mechanical performer, reimagining the format of archives as a communal, sonic installation that anyone can physically experience.

Paying tribute to underrepresented sound subcultures and the idea of scenius in these communities, it seeks to challenge archival formats and explore the type of matter that should be archived in the post-humanist age.
